First Anniversary
It was our first wedding anniversary on February 16!
I know it’s a bit late, but we’ve been whisked away on a mystery weekend, and have currently taken in two friends as temporary flatties. So here’s the post today.
I don’t want to turn this into a long wedding advice post, but if there’s one tip that I could give you it’s this – don’t get too worked up on the little things.
I was told this by several different people and it was the best advice I could have received! Part of the advice was asking yourself what you enjoyed about the weddings you attended, and concentrate on those. Not the fiddly little things that can become big frustrating jobs. It’s kind of like software development – there is bound to be scope creep, so keep to the important things unless you have lots of time and money for all the trimmings. (I know, I’m a geek.)
And if you keep things simple, there’s less to go wrong, and less to worry about.
Remembering this made the wedding so much less stressful than it might have been.

A year since our big day
