Baby Update at 16 Weeks
Another month and I’m half way through – woot!
This week my belly has become quite noticeable, although not people-giving-you-a-seat-on-the-bus noticeable yet. I’m ok standing as long as no ginormous person has to squeeze past.
As my hubby puts it, my belly has outgrown my boobs – yay…? I guess it is, because the bigger the belly, the closer to the big day!
Tummy space isn’t what it used to be. I can’t eat as much at a meal as I used to so I find myself having lots of little meals instead. A cracker before I get up, breakfast, morning tea, early lunch, second lunch if needed, afternoon tea, before home-time snack, dinner, before bed snack and maybe another cracker if I wake up hungry in the middle of the night. Still loving my kiwifruit.
Sleeping comfortably is already becoming a mission. I get a crampy pulling sensation when I sleep on my side (apparently the recommended position) so I have a pregnancy pillow to help. It’s hard because I’m so used to sleeping on my back most of the time. The increasing need to go toilet is also keeping me awake.
I’m getting a lot of pimples lately – something I haven’t had since I was a teenager, 10 years ago! Also indigestion is rife. Heartburn, burps, wind… aren’t pregnant women just so sexy!
