Fatty Mac Fat Fat
I am now 18 weeks pregnant and 58 friggin’ kilos! Yep. Might not sound like lots, but I am only a wee short thing.
Since my Baby Update at 14 Weeks I’ve managed to gain 3.2kg. Apparently women gain an average of 10kg during pregnancy. According to that, I should only gain another 5kg before I’m officially a glut – or a “Fatty Mac Fat Fat” as my husband so graciously puts it.
It’s so hard when you’re always hungry – waaahhhhhh!
I really should do more exercise, such as walking. But it’s so cold and dark and windy and I’m always tired. Maybe if it wasn’t winter…
Adding to that, we had a fire drill yesterday. A workmate and I walked down the 10 flights of stairs, then to the cafe down the road to take shelter from the rain. Today my calves are sore. Coincidence? Maybe. Lack of fitness? Definitely.

Mmmm... fat...

Hey,
The average is 12-15kg and it’s only a number… and I think I read somewhere that larger women put on less (cos they’ve got the weight there already) so don’t stress about it. As long as the midwife keeps saying your baby is growing nicely, don’t worry about you kilo gain. The only thing that happens is that your hubby will start calling you very unflattering names such as dumpling and hipposhonamus!! BTW I’ve now put on 13.8 kgs and still got the last month to go, which apparently is where lots of growth occurs, so I suspect I’m definitely going to be above average!!

Lol, as Shon says don’t worry about it. Rather you put on heaps of weight than end up like those women on TV who got anorexic after finding out they were pregnant.
18 weeks already! It goes so quickly. Yay get to find out what it is soon. :]

Thanks guys. I know I shouldn’t worry but it’s just a mental shock because I’ve never been so heavy. Neil weighed himself while he was at the midwives too and looks like he’s turning into a Mac Fat Fat himself :p

I’m not even preggers but I would SO eat that. Don’t worry, relish it…it’s the one time a woman can eat to her heart’s content, gain some weight, and blame it on someone else. Eat up, the baby needs it :)
