Baby Update at 20 Weeks

Over half-way now and loving the bliss of the second trimester.

Last week I had my anatomy scan and all is fine. Her insides are in the right place, the spine is straight, and her heart is the size it should be.

The baby’s kicking more often, and I can actually see little bumps when she goes for it. It’s a bit weird having a tiny human squirming around inside me.

I’m feeling hotter than usual, which is mainly a good thing given it’s winter. The annoying thing now is that the baby is taking up more and more space and I can no longer have a full meal without feeling extremely uncomfortable afterwards. Breathing is getting harder too because I can only take small breaths.

I sleep with four pillows now – strategically placed for maximum comfort and snuggliness. The hubby might have to sleep in the other room soon!

Have been wanting to go out and buy pretty things for my little girl. I’m holding out because I know we’ll be getting a few hand me downs from family. Still, if I see something unbearably cute I might just have to get it :)

We went to Queensgate on the weekend (it was shit) and I kept wanting to go into all the baby shops and buy pretty things. But The Boy told me I had to wait to go shopping with you. :[

No, I don’t think the bed is big enough for a body pillow… The hubby’s already only got a small side to sleep on as it is!

Yeah I love shopping for other people’s babies too. I guess I’m just trying to be smart and not spend too much just yet.

I know I’ll be getting a lot of basic clothing, so if I do see something that I must have, I’ll get it!
