Some women some cry
What do women spend 12,000 hours of their lives doing? Crying.
Answering that question won me a prize pack off More FM today :)
It’s been ages since I won anything off the radio – or won anything in general. When I was at university I spent most of my free time listening to Auckland’s Channel Z, ringing up and winning stuff. I’ve won CDs, movie tickets, concert tickets. The first thing I won off the radio was actually from More FM. It was the sound track to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – on cassette tape. How awesome!
Anyway, according to the article Cry babes: Women spend a year and four months of their lives crying, the Baby Website conducted the survey and reported that after the age of 19, women wept for two hours and 14 minutes a week
.
I doubt I cry that much, but I am a sook for lots of things.
When I was little, I cried when I didn’t get my way. My parents didn’t give in though. Later in life, it was relationship woes that got me upset most of the time.
I cry watching movies, chat shows, dramas, even cartoons. Seeing people cry, even if it was acting, was an instant on switch for the water works.
When I’m feeling down, and people ask me “How are you?”, or “What’s wrong?”, that sets me off straight away! And seeing a friend or family member sad does it too.
I also cry at happy times like at weddings, or christenings. No doubt I will cry when I finally get to hold my baby.
Yep, I’m a bit of a cry baby.

I heard you! I would never have guessed the answer was ‘cry’
But saying that, I’m a total crybaby. Always have been, always will be.
I even cry at certain ads on the telly too. I’m a total sook

Lol, how embarrassing. I hate hearing myself on radio, let alone have other people listen to my voice!
Ooh, that Telecom ad with the Cat Stevens song “Father and son” made me cry!

There’s no way I cry 2 hours a week! I cry at all the same stuff as you do but not for 2 hours!
I have no doubt I’m gonna cry when I see your little miss. I cried at your wedding because I was so happy for you, and now that I know you even better and know how badly you want this kiddo I don’t think there’s going to be anyway to stop me.
