I know! There’s no way to avoid the parents from making comments, we can only minimise them.

Yeah I’m glad I don’t have pica. And if you also mean the horrible cafe we went to called Pica, that eventually closed down – hallelujah!

Yeah it’s great being in Wellington :)

And it’s too cold and windy for them to want to live here (although mum’s already mentioned she should move down to look after the baby…)

Your parents sound like great fun to have. It’s funny how we know exactly what they’ll say, so we go and do things with the hopes they don’t say it, then they do anyway. Gotta love them :)

And yes, eat what you crave. Makes mommy and baby happy :) Except if you have pica…

Yip, that’s mum and dad for you. You’re lucky that you’re in Wellington and they’re in Auckland so they can’t do ’surprise visits’ to your house to drop stuff off for you that they think you should need!

They do mean well but rather too direct.

I’ve been kind of anxious about being in the kitchen with your mum on Sunday, especially as have no idea what I’m doing in there half the time.
But I am SO glad to have a comeback if she questions why I’m making ambrosia/sandwiches/whatever. It’s because you have a craving for it. Awesome.

my grandpa said the same thing to my stepmum when she was pregnant re: the dog! my half bro is now 1 and he still says the same thing! we dont show him any photos of the dog & baby together theeh
