Mega lots of Megabloks

This is what 230-something Megabloks looks like:

(Please excuse the state of my daughter’s hair in the above photo. We had just returned home and she had been sleeping in the car. And of course, building the tower took top priority.)

I got these blocks off Trademe, and it sure beats paying full price for them. Before today, Abby only had 13 Megabloks because they’re so damn expensive that I couldn’t justify getting her a bigger set.

We saw some sets for sale at the Sallies a few weeks ago, but we had walked there and I wasn’t prepared to lug the bulky bags home on foot. Unfortunately the blocks were sold by the time we finally got around to going back with the car. Gutted.

But then I remembered Trademe.

I spent $45 but got about $200 worth. There’s a cute train to push around and an awesome wagon, both of which Abby tries to get into – too bad they’re not designed to carry kids! She even has 6 people now (although she has three identical boys, two identical girls, and one train driver).

Even if she doesn’t play with them I know that her daddy and I will!

Wow, that is a pretty impressive collection of blocks! I just wouldn’t want to stand on one in the middle of the night! Ouch!

Wow, a fabulous tower and a great find on TradeMe too! Building blocks, lego etc. all such a great investment, hours of various fun. Lovely photos of your pretty girl too x
