Felt like a felt sandwich

Saturday, June 23rd, 2012

I hadn’t thought about making felt food before, but since Abby started getting into role playing, I thought she could do with a sandwich set.

One of her favourite things is to say “Welcome to the bakery. Can I help you?” So now I can say “Yes, I’d like a sandwich please.”

I’m glad I decided not to buy her a felt sandwich set. I had so much fun making this, and the best thing is that Abby loves playing with it.

Abby often ends up making an Everything Sandwich, which is fine by me :) When she makes one for daddy, he has to take out the gherkins.

It won’t be long before I can ask her to make me a real sandwich. For now, I’m just going to have to settle for the furry fabric kind. It might not be tasty, but it’s so very cute.

Brilliant, I love these! My 2 year old might finally stop breastfeeding her dolly while making phone calls on the remote and make us some lunch! Role playing is the cutest thing, you just never know what they are going to copy!
