  • Being pregnant. Ok, so I whinge alot about it, and will whinge even more later, but it’s a magical feeling knowing that you have created a little human being that will look somewhat like you and your husband.
  • Cupcakes. That’s a no-brainer. I’ve bought myself another two trays making four all together. Perhaps it’s time to make a living out of them… maybe.
  • Booth’s line on Bones: Bones. She’s not a real masseuse. She’s a, you know, ‘happy ending’ masseuse. I wouldn’t have got the joke if it wasn’t for the conversation about this in the Gold Coast the other week. Awesome.
  • Fez. So he pees everywhere and emits funky smells, but besides that he’s pretty cool and we love him to bits.

  • My husband. He has lots of patience putting up with a pregnant woman. Thanks darling.
  • Snuggling in blankies on the couch watching movies.
  • Hot cross buns. Tried some Ten O’Clock ones and they really do live up to expectations.
  • Awesome dreams. Like superhero ones where I have powers! :)
  • Being warm. The heat coming from my laptop is actually nice this time of year.
  • Having more than three hours uninterrupted sleep.
  • Fez learning new tricks. Lying down is his latest one.
  • The smell of food making me hungry. Then again I’m always hungry. Then again, I’m pregnant. Leave me alone!

  • My shiny new iPod Nano in bright pink. What’s even better is that the hubby got it for me using our Fly Buys points. Yay-ah.
  • Finding my creative streak again and the motivation to create!
  • Having my Etsy shop to showcase my cupcake paintings (and perhaps make a little something extra).
  • Wearing slippers. For a while it was too hot to wear anything warm on your feet when you got home, but I love wearing slippers. The cushiness, warmth, comfort and the fact they keep your feet and socks off those unmopped floors…
  • Hot chips. Lately I’ve had more than my share of chips, wedges and curly fries. No regrets! Yet.
  • Wedding/anniversary cake. It’s still *really* good.

  • Good movies like Slumdog Millionaire and Gran Torino. Hard to find sometimes, so I enjoy them when I do!
  • Having time to blog. It’s been so busy lately I haven’t had much time to sit and be creative. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have a day job…
  • Long weekends. Even better when it’s because of statutory holidays.
  • New season corn – fresh from the garden is best. I can’t wait to harvest ours.
  • Alice. Alice? Who the f*ck is Alice? The awesome sister in law who posted me some single coloured sprinkles – that’s who!

  • Free pool at JJs on Thursdays. I didn’t know about this regular feature until last week. It’s awesome.
  • Free stuff in general is also awesome. Did I mention the cookies I got?
  • Sleeping in. Harder to do when it’s so nice in the mornings. Snooze, dream, wake up, repeat.
  • Second-hand stores. Not the ponsy ones that overcharge for everything. I’m talking about the ones where the cheap prices make up for the peculiar smell of the place.
  • Sangria on the deck. Anything  juicy and cold on the deck on a hot day – I luff.
  • Enjoying the two flowers on my orchid while they last.
  • Mussels at the Leuven Belgian Beer Cafe – for $18.90 you can get a kilo pot of delicious mussels and frites, a meal large enough to share between two.
  • Griffin’s Cameo Cremes. One of my childhood favourites that I still love, though now with a cup of tea and a snuggle with the hubby :D

  • Vegetables from your own garden
  • Roast chicken – nom nom!
  • Shops that have real sales, like half price on half the store. None of this “up to 50% off” where there’s only a few things that are actually slashed.
  • Sushi – I still love sushi. Unfortunately Midland Sushi wasn’t open last week for lunch, but hopefully they will be this week :D
  • Going away with friends
  • Pictionary!! Finally got my own game for Christmas. Just don’t let it ruin your marriage!
Would anyone like to guess what this is?

What do you think these two images (drawn by Hippy Ninja) are of?

  • Barbecues in the sun
  • Stuff from the 50s
  • Icecream
  • Christmas songs by Sir Cliff Richard :]
  • Katy Perry’s album One of the Boys.
You can hear the album on her website. The first song plays on arrival – if the volume’s been cranked up and the sound is coming through your stereo because you’ve just been watching movies on the projector, you’ll get a big fright.
  • Watching people smile while texting – so mischievious!
  • All the flowering pohutakawa reminding you that summer and Christmas is not far away…
