...and what?

Tuesday 14 April 2009

Feeling extremely tired and quite nauseated so off sick today. No photo. This project is going to take aaages to complete.

Wednesday 15 April 2009

My plan to go to bed early fails. It doesn’t help that I forget about taking a photo until after I get into bed.

It’s a lovely evening and you can see the half moon.

JPG image of a half moon

Friday 3 April 2009

Morning tea is provided by our manager today. The icing on the carrot cake is pretty impressive. Too rich to have though.

Saturday 4 April 2009

We had planned to build a dog house but if you can get one for the same price as the cost of materials, then you may as well be lazy.

Sunday 5 April 2009

We finally make it to the Sunday market – first time in probably a year!

Wednesday 3 April 2009

I roll out of bed after remembering I hadn’t taken a photo yet. So what’s around… this cute little painting we got in Venice will do.

Project 365: Week 13

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

My week in photos as part of Project 365:

Thursday 26 March 2009

The result of clicking and dragging the Task Manager while your computer is crashing.

JPG image of my computer screen as my comptuer is crashing

Yay for Windows.

Friday 27 March 2009

The hubby askes me to make some beer labels for his home brew. I have lots of fun, including putting the notes “Unknown % alcohol” and “May cause pregnancy” in small print.

JPG image of homemade beer labels

The draught may cause pregnancy.

Saturday 28 March 2009

My cousin is tiny, even smaller than me. Compare her with the smallest watermelon *ever*.

JPG image of my cousin and a tiny watermelon

So tiny!

Sunday 29 March 2009

Easter eggs to celebrate the birth of the Easter Bunny.

JPG image of chocolate Easter Eggs on my shelf

Mmm chocolate.

Monday 30 March 2009

The boys hogged the hubby’s MAME machine all weekend, so finally I get to take a picture of it in all its glory.

Took several months for the hubby and his mate to build this but completely worth it.

JPG image of the MAME machine

Wooh!

Tuesday 31 March 2009

Morning sickness has started. I have to keep crackers and rasins next to my bed so I can nibble at anytime necessary. I feel a little guilty waking up the hubby with crunching at 2am though…

JPG image a jar of crackers on my bedside

Necessities on my bedside

Wednesday 1 March 2009

If you haven’t yet noticed, there are a few similarities in my and Ms Constantine’s photos this week. I even have a blood test photo (for pregnancy reasons). My plaster is shaped like a cross so it’s better than Ms Constantine’s :p

Project 365: Week 12

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

My week in photos as part of Project 365:

Thursday 19 March 2009

Ok, so it’s another day that I forget to take a picture. Doesn’t say anywhere that I have to start all over again (correct me if I’m wrong), so I’ll just continue attempting to take a picture each day :)

Friday 20 March 2009

A belated St Patrick’s Day lunch at work. Lots of green.

Also, it’s an exciting day today, but will wait a few days before getting too excited.

Painting

Green cupcakes! With a "leprechaun surprise" inside.

Saturday 21 March 2009

What have we here…? I believe it’s positive again – just like Friday. Woo! I can get a little more excited now.

JPG image of my positive pregnancy tests

A positive moment

Sunday 22 March 2009

Making trifle with left-over cupcakes. (They’re only left-over because I didn’t have time to ice them so they were frozen instead.)

JPG image of jelly being poured over pieces of cupcakes to make trifle

Much tastier once the jelly, custard, cream and chocolate are added!

Monday 23 March 2009

Super excited now things are confirmed with the doctor. Apart from that, today is not very eventful. So I take a photo of the very large painting I made for our lounge. It’s taller than I am.

JPG image of my lotus painting

Tuesday 24 March 2009

I get some lovely gifts from a lovely workmate. It’s so nice to own some baby things!

JPG image of baby gear

Just look at those Pooh socks! Aww!

Wednesday 25 March 2009

Trying to eat more vegies, so it’s spag bol with frozen vege and salad – yum.

Project 365: Week 11

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

My week in photos as part of Project 365:

Thursday 12 March 2009

Wilson $3 parking. Look closer. It’s for half an hour. And what kicked me in the guts more was that on a Saturday Sunday I parked here assuming (stupidly) that it was one of the Wilson $3-all-day weekend parking lots. Nope. At least I only forked out $6 that day – imagine if I had stayed the whole day!

JPG image of a Wilson carpark sign

Cheeky signage! Grr.

Friday 13 March 2009

We go to Bowlarama in Newtown after work for a couple games. I get a strike on the first bowl of the evening. That is in no way a reflection on the rest of the game.

JPG image of bowling balls at Bowlarama

Saturday 14 March 2009

We head to Palmie this morning. As usual I don’t get up early enough for breakfast, so it’s Mc Donald’s for breakfast. No complaints though.

JPG image of Mc Donalds BLT bagel

Mmm healthy

Sunday 15 March 2009

My sister-in-law’s Jack Russell had puppies last month. They are uber cute. I would’ve taken this big ball of kawiiness if it wasn’t already taken. Instead I am adopting the runt – the less psychotic of the other two.

JPG image of the biggest of the puppies sleeping on my legs

Awww!

Monday 16 March 2009

Time for some more cupcake paintings.

Tuesday 17 March 2009

It’s bowling night with work again. This time we go to Bowlarama (seeing as it’s two games for one on Tuesdays). It’s a fine night and I walk home in a calming sunset.

Wednesday 18 March 2009

We decide it’s time to do some grocery shopping. The weather decides it’s time for some rain.

Project 365: Week 10

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

My week in photos as part of Project 365:

Thursday 5 March 2009

After watching Watchmen we walk home, going past the Century City Ho. Tonight all the letters are there but the “o” isn’t lit. One day they’ll get it right.

JPG image of the Century City Hotel at night

At least it's not a ho anymore

Friday 6 March 2009

One hot day I left this candle on the window sill. It softened so much that it bent over under its own weight. Now it’s just decorative because lighting it would make a huge mess.

Saturday 7 March 2009

My new iPod Nano finally has songs on it.

JPG image of my pink iPod Nano

It makes the bus rides each day a little nicer

Sunday 8 March 2009

Lunch with some lady friends at Sweet Mother’s Kitchen. Their service is still meh but the curly fries are good.

By the way, if you get one of their sweet pies and they ask if you want cream, yoghurt or ice cream with it, don’t expect the ice cream to be free! The other two are included in the price but the ice cream will cost you an extra $2 (regardless of whether they tell you that or not).

Monday 9 March 2009

I am off sick today. At least I manage to do something creative so the day isn’t a total waste.

I find out that Ms Constantine is also off sick. (For the record, our absences were purely coincidental.)

Tuesday 10 March 2009

Another one of those days where I almost fail this project. Out of desperation I take a photo of anything that is around me. This is one of our coasters.

JPG image of a coaster on my coffee table

Amen to that!

Wednesday 11 March 2009

It’s cold today. Time for boots again. Winter – *sigh*.

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

My week in photos as part of Project 365:

Thursday 26 February 2009

Shooters after work for some drinks, nibbles and pool. One of my nicknames is monkey, so I had to take this picture of their cocktail menu.

JPG image of a cocktail menu

Friday 27 February 2009

I adopt a new soft toy at work. I name him Ping and he wears a head band that says “Ichiban” on it (meaning “Number one” in Japanese).

Saturday 28 February 2009

We fly to Auckland for a three-day weekend. Before we leave, I cut the hubby’s hair in a hurry. I also cut my finger for the first time ever while cutting hair. Ouch. I now have a nice v-shaped flap, which is slowly healing.

JPG image of my hand showing the finger I cut

"v" for "very silly"

Sunday 1 March 2009

My friends Ryan and Nicola have their engagement party today. It’s an afternoon tea with lots of goodies including these little cupcakes that someone made. I’m quite impressed by the buttercream roses.

Monday 2 March 2009

On the last day of our Auckland weekend, the hubby and I go to Lilliput Minigolf in Mission Bay. This is where we had our first date almost eight years ago.

JPG image of the hubby playing minigold

You missed the hole...

Tuesday 3 March 2009

Bowling with workmates at the Lanes today. There are lots of nibbles and by the time I get home, I don’t want much for dinner. I decide that a cob of corn freshly picked from the garden would be good. And it was :)

JPG image of a homegrown cob of corn

Project 365: Week 8

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

My week in photos as part of Project 365:

Thursday 19 February 2009

Work is bugging me – in paticular, a dumbass senior manager is making dumbass decisions, again. We have nicknamed her Pony because she clomps around as if everything is a matter of life and death (because she’s *so* busy). Now that I think about it, the nick name Dumb Ass is even more suitable. This is her.

Friday 20 February 2009

Torrential rain this morning. The puddles of water are impressive!

JPG image of rain on the roads

At least I don't have to water the garden.

Saturday 21 February 2009

We take a nosy at this year’s Cuba Street Carnival parade. There was even a giant cupcake that zoomed around but I only have my phone camera and it’s too poos to take quick photos.

Sunday 22 February 2009

So much wind today! My washing is in danger of taking off over the fence.

JPG image of washing on the line

At least they'll dry quickly

Monday 23 February 2009

I get a package from my sister in law – it’s sprinkles! I love how she has addressed it to the Dixon Cupcake Company – hehe.

Tuesday 24 February 2009

Mmm Awesome Foursome icecream.

Dinner at Arashi tonight. The hubby has to go back to work at 7:00 so it’s a short and sweet catch up with Ms Constantine and her Boy.
