Wilson $3 parking. Look closer. It’s for half an hour. And what kicked me in the guts more was that on a Saturday Sunday I parked here assuming (stupidly) that it was one of the Wilson $3-all-day weekend parking lots. Nope. At least I only forked out $6 that day – imagine if I had stayed the whole day!

Lunch with some lady friends at Sweet Mother’s Kitchen. Their service is still meh but the curly fries are good.

By the way, if you get one of their sweet pies and they ask if you want cream, yoghurt or ice cream with it, don’t expect the ice cream to be free! The other two are included in the price but the ice cream will cost you an extra $2 (regardless of whether they tell you that or not).

We fly to Auckland for a three-day weekend. Before we leave, I cut the hubby’s hair in a hurry. I also cut my finger for the first time ever while cutting hair. Ouch. I now have a nice v-shaped flap, which is slowly healing.

The only thing we brought back from Christchurch is a bag of habanero chillis. Hubby chops up a couple and fries them to make some chilli oil. He also tries a bit after they are fried and loses much of the feeling in his mouth.

The two flowers on my orchid are in full bloom. No, wait – that was a caption from last week’s photos… but almost fitting for these Barbie dolls at The Green Man. Apart from the waiting time fun, they do $6 pizzas on Thursdays that are delish!

Colin is still away (honeymoons are overrated, really), and another one of our guys left last week. I have been flooded with IT requests and help queries the last few days.

Today three people give me thank you cards and chocolate fishes within 10 minutes of each other which was very unexpected.
